It's difficult to get started, but - but one way to do so is to simply make your gig ridiculously enticing. Like for a while I had this whole transcribing thing where I did like 30 minutes of work for 5 bucks. That got me views and it also meant I got a lot of really nice reviews really fast. This meant that a lot of folks also saw my other stuff. I mostly do papers now, but that transcribing job is what initially got me the views and such I needed to start out with. P.S. - Don't just accept a gig and then deliver it. Always respond with politeness and professionalism. It generally ends up working out really, really well. Like even if you can't accept a gig or you can't handle it - still respond and surprisingly you'll end up getting return customers.
